Natural paints from Horneburg

Naturfarben aus Horneburg

Horneburg, Niedersachsen, Germany · founded 1985 · Reincke Naturfarben GmbH

Reincke Naturfarben has made LEINOS finishes in Horneburg for forty years — a single small town in Lower Saxony, a single production line.

The name LEINOS comes from Lein — the German word for flax. Linseed oil sits at the heart of the formulation history that gave the brand its name.

Our philosophy is direct: ingredients that work with people and the environment, manufactured to a 2026 specification standard. Every batch tested in Horneburg. Every ingredient on the data sheet — no exceptions.

von NATUR aus GUT

Naturally Good

We use what works without compromising what enters a home: linseed oil, plant resins, beeswax, carnauba wax, clay, mineral pigments. Every ingredient is named on the technical data sheet.

Reincke Naturfarben has produced LEINOS finishes here in Horneburg since 1985. Every batch formulated and tested by our chemists — no shortcuts.

In our laboratory

Centuries-old materials.
Modern lab discipline.

Tested to ihd Dresden · ift Rosenheim · BfR XXXVI · EN 71-3

Linseed oil, beeswax, clay, mineral pigments — the materials our grandparents knew. Reformulated and re-tested in our Horneburg laboratory until they meet a 2026 architectural spec.

Every batch leaves Horneburg measured: formulated, viscosity-tested, batch-numbered and signed off by our chemists before it leaves the building. No ingredient is sourced as a pre-mixed compound — we hold the recipe and we hold the testing.

Recipes adjust to the natural variance of natural materials. Linseed crops differ year to year. Beeswax differs by hive. Carnauba differs by harvest. Our chemists adjust ratios per batch so the finished can performs the same on your project as the can specified for the same project five years ago.

The materials are old; the standards are new. Linseed oil and beeswax are what humans have used to protect surfaces for centuries. We test those materials against modern German institutional standards so what you specify today still passes a 2026 spec sheet.

For India

Two natural-paint traditions meet here.

India has its own deep tradition of natural finishing — lime-washed walls that breathe, hand-rubbed oils on teak doors, mineral pigments in temple frescoes that have held their colour for centuries. We don't bring “natural paints to India” — Indian craftsmen have known natural paints longer than our grandparents.

What we bring is the German laboratory discipline behind it: certified formulations from Horneburg, batches tested for both European and tropical climates, and full ingredient disclosure on every TDS. Forty years of refining materials you already know — at a standard that suits the buildings being designed in India today.

We work with architects, designers, and contractors across the country who specify natural finishes for residential, hospitality, and institutional projects. The Delhi Experience Center is open to anyone planning a project in this register — substrate trials, applicator training, and on-site sample arrangement on request.
