Interior Wood
Dark-Stained Stair Treads with White Risers
in Vadodara, Gujarat
Interior staircase in Vadodara — hardwood treads stained with LEINOS Pigment Concentrate 668, sealed with Universal Hard Oil 259. Deep brown contrast against bright white risers.

Context
The brief, and the surface.
A residential interior staircase featuring solid hardwood treads set against bright white-painted risers. To get a deep brown tone that didn't film over the grain, the team brushed LEINOS Pigment Concentrate 668 into the bare wood first, let it cure, then sealed with two thin coats of Universal Hard Oil 259.
Pigment 668 went on with a cloth pad rather than a brush — it lets the colour build evenly across grain that drinks unevenly. Hard Oil 259 followed 24 hours after the pigment had fully cured, then a second coat at 16-hour interval.

Outcome
The result on site.
Solid hardwood stair treads in Vadodara — LEINOS Pigment 668 + Hard Oil 259 system delivers a deep brown finish with the grain still legible after the first month of daily foot traffic.
The treads display a rich deep brown finish with the wood grain still legible under the oil. Contrast against the white risers reads crisp without bleeding at the riser-to-tread joint. Sheen settles to soft satin after the first month of foot traffic.
Results vary by surface condition, climate exposure, application method, and ongoing maintenance.
