Six elongated wooden serving boards from a New Delhi hospitality workshop — finished with LEINOS Countertop Oil 280 in warm golden-brown.

Context

The brief, and the surface.

A batch of six elongated wooden serving boards with cut-out handles, built in a New Delhi workshop for hospitality (restaurant or catering) use. The boards see daily service — bread, cheese, charcuterie — and frequent wipe-downs between covers. LEINOS Countertop Oil 280 was applied with a cloth pad in three thin coats per board to balance food-safety, wipe-clean profile, and the oil reserve against repeated washing.

Cut-out handle holes were sanded and oiled with extra attention — the end-grain edge of the cut-out absorbs oil at 3× the rate of the board face, and the handle is the high-touch surface that wears first. Three coats per board with 16-hour intervals; 14-day full cure batch-cured before delivery.

Conditions on Site

Interior hospitality wooden serving boards — batch of six, elongated with cut-out handles
Climate & Exposure
North Indian indoor — climate-controlled, seasonal humidity
Limitations
  • Cut-out handle end-grain absorbs at 3× board face rate — extra oil saturation passes there
  • Food-contact cure 14 days per TDS DIN 53160 before service use

Outcome

The result on site.

Six wooden hospitality serving boards from New Delhi — LEINOS Countertop Oil 280 three-coat build delivers food-safe DIN 53160 surfaces across the board face plus the high-absorption end-grain of the cut-out handle holes.

The boards display a warm golden-brown tone with rich grain patterns and natural knots. Board surfaces wipe clean of food residue between service rounds; cut-out handle edges hold the oil saturation evenly with the board face.

Results vary by surface condition, climate exposure, application method, and ongoing maintenance.
