INTERIOR FLOOR CARE · ART. 920
Wooden floor polish that shines without buffing.
LEINOS 920 is a carnauba-wax care milk for oiled, waxed and lacquered floors of wood, cork and linoleum. 10–30 ml goes into a bucket of mop water after cleaning, and the floor dries to a silk gloss with no buffing. Made in Germany by Reincke Naturfarben.
Mechanism & Use
How LEINOS 920 Floor Milk works.
The soap takes a little of the care layer with the dirt. Floor Milk puts it back, and the floor needs no polishing afterwards.
Wax that travels in the mop water
Carnauba wax is held in water by a plant-based emulsifier. Measured at 10–30 ml into 10 litres of lukewarm water, it goes on with an ordinary mop and leaves a care layer far thinner than a coat of wax.
A silk gloss with no buffing
After a short drying time the layer dries to a silky sheen by itself. It protects the finish against dirt and scuffing from foot traffic, is dirt-repellent and antistatic, and stays open to vapour. Cared for regularly, the floor builds a fine patina.
Soap cleans. Floor Milk replenishes.
Floor Milk goes into clean mop water, after the floor has been washed with LEINOS 930 Vegetable Soap, and then every two to four washes. On a newly finished floor the first care waits at least four weeks.
Five ingredients, one of them an allergen
Water, carnauba wax, bergamot oil, lavender oil and a plant-based emulsifier. As an InVeNa member LEINOS publishes every ingredient. Bergamot oil can cause an allergic reaction, and the label says so.
Where It Lives
Where 920 lives
Oiled timber floors
The core case: puts back the care layer that washing takes away.
Waxed timber floors
Refreshes the wax surface without a separate waxing and polishing job.
Lacquered timber floors
The whole care routine for a lacquered floor, where a care oil cannot go in.
Cork floors
Named in the TDS alongside wood, under oil, wax or lacquer.
Linoleum
The same dilution and the same mop as on timber.
A newly finished floor
Its first care, no earlier than four weeks after finishing.
Disclosure · Origin
Two claims, both checkable.
A care product carries fewer certificates than a coating. These are the ones that apply.
Ingredient disclosure
InVeNa member
Every ingredient is published. For Floor Milk that is five: water, carnauba wax, bergamot oil, lavender oil and a plant-based emulsifier.
Origin
Horneburg, Germany
Manufactured by Reincke Naturfarben in Horneburg, to the same formulation sold in Germany.
There is no VOC stamp and no toy-safety test here. The EU VOC categories are written for paints and varnishes, and a care product diluted in mop water sits outside them; no migration test is named for Floor Milk, so we do not borrow one from a coating. What we state instead is the full ingredient list and the allergen: it contains bergamot oil, which can cause an allergic reaction. The TDS is downloadable; the safety data sheet is issued on request — use Talk to LEINOS above.

Step by Step
How to Apply
On a newly finished floor, wait at least four weeks before the first care, so the finish has settled.

Clean the floor first with LEINOS 930 Vegetable Soap. Floor Milk goes into clean water, never into the soapy wash.

Shake the bottle well before use.

Add approx. 10–30 ml of Floor Milk to 10 litres of lukewarm, clean water: the lower end for routine care, the higher end for a floor that looks dry.

Wipe the floor along the boards with a well-wrung mop. It should look faintly damp and dry within minutes, never puddled.

Let it dry. The floor comes up to a silk gloss by itself, with no polishing. Repeat after every two to four washes with the soap.

Coats & Recoating
- A care product, not a coating: there are no coats. Use it after every two to four washes with Vegetable Soap 930; on a new floor, the first care waits at least four weeks.
Cleaning & Storage
- Rinse the mop and bucket with water.
- Store cool but frost-free. Close the bottle tightly after use.

System & Substrates
Clean it, then keep it cared for.
Floor Milk is the step that follows the soap. The oil wash comes in only when care is no longer enough.
The Care System
Soap takes the dirt off. Floor Milk puts the care layer back. On an oiled floor, the oil wash deals with what neither can reach.
Long-term Care
Extends the life of the finish over the years.
Substrate Fit
920 works on — and what it doesn’t.
Suitable
Recommended substrates
- Oiled timber floors — plank, strip and parquet
- Waxed timber floors
- Lacquered timber floors
- Cork floors
- Linoleum
Honest Limits
Where to use a different product
- Outdoors — it is made for indoor floors.
- A dirty floor — Floor Milk is not a cleaner. Wash it with Vegetable Soap 930 first.
- A newly finished floor in its first four weeks.
- Oiled floors worn through in the traffic lanes — care cannot rebuild a finish. That is the oil wash with Oil Refurbisher 285. LEINOS 285 Oil Refurbisher
Use With Care
Working safely with 920
- Contains bergamot oil. May cause an allergic reaction.
- Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, call a poison centre or doctor if you feel unwell; do not induce vomiting.
- Avoid release to the environment.
Full Declaration
Composition
Every ingredient declared on the label. The Trust Hub explains what each one does and the standards behind it.
Water
The carrier. It holds the wax in a milky emulsion and evaporates as the floor dries.
Carnauba wax
A hard wax from the leaves of the carnauba palm. It forms the thin care layer and gives the silk gloss.
Bergamot oil and lavender oil
Essential oils that give the milk its scent. Bergamot oil can cause an allergic reaction.
Plant-based emulsifier
Keeps the wax evenly spread through the water, so it can be dosed into a bucket.
Got Questions?
Frequently Asked
Quick answers on formulation, application and Indian-climate suitability. Pulled from our full FAQ and TDS library.
- Yes. Floor Milk is made for oiled, waxed and lacquered floors alike. On a lacquered floor it is the whole care routine: a care oil such as LEINOS 285 Oil Refurbisher cannot get into a lacquer film, so 285 is for oiled and waxed floors only.
- After every two to four washes with Vegetable Soap 930, depending on how hard the floor is cleaned and how much traffic it takes. On a newly finished floor, the first care comes no earlier than four weeks after finishing.
- No. The thin wax layer dries to a silk gloss on its own after a short time. Wipe with a well-wrung mop so it goes on thin, and let it dry before walking on it.
- At 10–30 ml per 10-litre bucket, one litre makes about 33 to 100 buckets of mop water. It is packed in 1, 2.5 and 10 litres: the litre bottle suits a home, the larger packs suit contractors and facilities.
- It contains bergamot oil and lavender oil, and bergamot oil can cause an allergic reaction. If someone in the house reacts to essential oils, check the full ingredient list first. The safety data sheet is available on request through Talk to LEINOS.
- Both, in turn. Vegetable Soap 930 cleans the floor and takes a little of the care layer with the dirt. Floor Milk 920 goes into clean water afterwards and puts that layer back. Soap alone slowly leaves an oiled floor bare; Floor Milk alone does not clean it.
