A handcrafted children's high chair from a Pune workshop, featuring an adjustable seat and footrest that lets the chair grow with the child for years. The piece needed a finish that would resist daily meals, frequent wipe-downs, and the child's own contact — food-safe per DIN 53160, splinter-free, and wipe-clean. LEINOS Interior Hardwax Oil 290 was applied in two thin coats.
The team disassembled the chair before oiling — each component (seat, footrest, side rails, base) was sanded to 240-grit and oiled separately so the oil reached the joinery surfaces hidden during assembly. Reassembly happened after 24-hour cure on every component.

Children's growing high chair from a Pune workshop — LEINOS Interior Hardwax Oil 290 applied to every component pre-assembly, food-safe per DIN 53160 with no untreated joinery surfaces.
The wood displays a rich warm honey colour with visible grain and a smooth satin sheen. Seat and footrest surfaces are wipe-clean; the joinery surfaces hidden inside the assembly are equally oiled and won't bleed out under humidity.
Results vary by surface condition, climate exposure, application method, and ongoing maintenance.
