Context

The brief, and the surface.

A bedroom in Noida furnished with custom-built pine cabinets featuring reeded glass doors, set against matching vertical pine wall panelling. The brief was visual cohesion — cabinets and walls reading as one continuous handcrafted material. LEINOS Interior Hardwax Oil 290 was applied in two thin coats across both cabinet faces and panel boards.

Reeded glass needed masking before oil application — the recessed channels of the reed pattern would have collected oil drips. The team worked cabinet faces and wall panels in alternating sequence so each surface had its 16–24 h recoat window clear without crowding the bedroom workspace.

Outcome

The result on site.

Bedroom in Noida with pine cabinets and matching wall panelling — LEINOS Interior Hardwax Oil 290 delivers a single warm golden register across cabinet faces and wall boards with no oil migration onto the reeded glass doors.

The oil produced a warm golden tone across all pine surfaces, giving a cohesive, handcrafted look between the cabinetry and the wall panelling. Reeded glass remains clear; the cabinet handles and high-touch surfaces have a soft satin sheen rather than slick film.

Results vary by surface condition, climate exposure, application method, and ongoing maintenance.
