An adjustable-height children's chair in oak, hand-built in a Chennai workshop. The stain went down first using LEINOS Pigment Concentrate 668 in dark brown, then sealed with two thin coats of Interior Hardwax Oil 290 for the food-safe finish (saliva and sweat resistant per DIN 53160).

Pigment 668 was wiped on with a cloth pad rather than brushed — controls how much colour the open oak grain takes up across the chair's varied surface areas. Hardwax Oil 290 followed 24 hours after pigment cure. The team disassembled the chair before pigmenting so the joinery surfaces hidden during assembly got equal treatment.

The oil gave the oak a rich, deep brown tone with the grain reading clearly under the dark stain. Smooth and even under hand; the seat and footrest wipe clean of food spills without leaving residue.
