Context

The brief, and the surface.

An interior living room wall coated with LEINOS Anti-Mould Lime Paint 665 in deep burgundy red as a single accent feature against cream-painted adjacent walls. The depth of colour was the priority — mineral red pigments behave differently than acrylic and required extra build to read as 'rich' rather than 'flat'.

Deep burgundy needed four coats to reach the target saturation — mineral red pigments scatter more light than oxide reds in acrylic. The team rolled the first three coats in W-pattern strokes at 8-hour intervals, then applied the fourth coat with a brush in a single direction for a soft directional sheen.

Conditions on Site

Surface
Interior plastered mineral substrate — single accent feature wall, cream adjacent walls
Climate & Exposure
Coastal Visakhapatnam indoor — climate-controlled, seasonal humidity
Limitations
  • Mineral red requires four coats for full saturation — scatters more light than acrylic oxides
  • Final brush coat in single direction establishes the soft directional sheen

Gallery

More from the site.

  • Close-up of the red wall surface — rich matte mineral finish reading true under interior lighting.
  • Wide living room view — accent wall reading as a clear focal point without flattening under reflection.

Outcome

The result on site.

Living room accent wall in Visakhapatnam coated with LEINOS Anti-Mould Lime Paint 665 in deep burgundy — four-coat build delivers rich matte mineral finish that reads true under daylight and lamp lighting alike.

The red accent wall holds a rich, matte mineral finish with even colour depth that reads true under both daylight and lamp lighting. The contrast against the cream walls reads elegant rather than aggressive — the mineral paint matte breaks up reflection that would otherwise flatten the colour.

Results vary by surface condition, climate exposure, application method, and ongoing maintenance.
