Tongue-and-groove larch ceiling boards spanning a vaulted ceiling in a residential interior, set against exposed brick walls on the perimeter. The team applied LEINOS Universal Hard Oil 259 in two thin coats to enhance the warm golden tone of the larch without darkening it toward orange.

Overhead work needed thin passes — the team brushed each plank end-to-end in one pass to avoid drip onto the brick below. A drop sheet caught any falling oil; none reached the brick face.

Outcome

The result on site.

Vaulted larch plank ceiling in Coimbatore — LEINOS Universal Hard Oil 259 delivers a uniform golden-amber tone across the span with no drip or migration onto the exposed brick walls below.

The larch planks display a rich golden-amber tone with a smooth satin finish and clearly visible grain. The contrast between the warm wood and the cool exposed brick reads strongly under both daylight and pendant lighting.

Results vary by surface condition, climate exposure, application method, and ongoing maintenance.
