Wall Wax Finish

WALL WAX FINISH · ART. 350

The clear wax that lets a feature wall take a wipe.

LEINOS 350 — a clear, open-pore oil-wax finish for decorative wall designs. It deepens colour and transparency, repels dirt and fingerprints, and raises wipe resistance — without sealing the wall or yellowing pale tones. The finish for LEINOS 660, 630, 632 and 601 wall designs; not for lime or silicate paints. Made in Germany by Reincke Naturfarben since 1985.

Decorative finish & Protection

How 350 Wall Wax Finish works.

A clear oil-wax finish, not a paint. Worked thinly into a cured decorative wall, it deepens colour and transparency and lays down an open-pore film that repels dirt and takes a wipe — while the wall keeps breathing.

01

Enriches without ambering

A non-yellowing oil-wax — nut and safflower drying oils, not linseed — deepens the colour and transparency of the decorative finish underneath while keeping pale designer tones true. Linseed would amber them; 350 will not.

02

Wipe-resistant, dirt-repellent film

Micro wax and natural-resin ester build a thin protective film that shrugs off fingerprints, dust and light abrasion, and raises the surface’s wipe resistance — the everyday durability a decorative feature wall otherwise lacks.

03

Open-pore: the wall keeps breathing

The film stays open-pore, so the wall remains vapour-permeable — protection without sealing the masonry behind an impermeable coat. The opposite of an acrylic varnish over a decorative finish.

04

The finish for decorative grounds

Formulated as the finish for LEINOS 660 Natural Resin Emulsion Paint, 630 Scumble Filler, 632 Effect Spatula and 601 Wall Wipe Glaze. Not for lime- or silicate-painted walls — their alkaline mineral chemistry needs no oil-wax topcoat.

Where It Lives

Where 350 Lives

Premium feature walls — Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi living rooms

The single statement wall — a 632 metallic, a 630 scumble or a 660 design — finished with 350 so it can be dusted and wiped without disturbing the decorative surface, while the colour reads a shade deeper.

Entry foyers & lift lobbies of premium residences

High-visual-value first-impression walls where hands occasionally brush the surface. 350 turns a delicate decorative design into a wipe-clean one without sealing the wall behind a synthetic varnish.

Boutique hotels & hospitality

Reception backdrops, lounge and corridor walls in boutique stays — Goa, Jaipur, Coorg. The open-pore finish protects crafted plasterwork in heritage-conversion shells that must keep breathing.

Retail & brand interiors

Designed feature walls in jewellery and fashion fit-outs that must survive cleaning crews without losing depth. 350 deepens the colour and adds a defendable wipe-clean surface.

Stairwells & corridors

Circulation walls finished with a decorative design but subject to scuffs and handprints. 350 raises mechanical-abrasion and wipe resistance exactly where traffic is highest.

Designer-finished bedrooms & dressing rooms

Quiet decorative walls where the wax’s colour-depth enrichment matters more than heavy protection — 350 used sparingly as the final enriching coat over a cured 660 or 630 design.

Step by Step

How to Apply

  1. Check the ground. The decorative finish — 660 Natural Resin Emulsion Paint, 630 Scumble Filler, 632 Effect Spatula or 601 Wall Wipe Glaze — must be fully dry and cured. 350 is not for lime- or silicate-painted walls. Room and surface temperature above 15 °C.

  2. Mask and prepare. Mask adjacent trim and surfaces along the edges of the feature wall. 350 is a clear finish — there is no tinting; simply stir it before use.

Hand pressing low-tack masking tape along the trim edge of a decorative feature wall
  3. Test first. 350 enriches the surface with a wet-look gain in colour depth and transparency. Try it on a coated sample board or an inconspicuous area so the deepened look is the intended one before committing the wall.

Wiping a clear-wax test patch onto a coated sample board to preview the deepened satin tone
  4. Apply sparingly. With a terry cloth, roller or brush, apply 350 thinly and evenly — sparingly (approx. 35 ml/m²). Over-application causes drying disturbances (TDS warning). This is the step that defines the result.

Applying a thin sparing coat of clear wax to a decorative plaster wall with a folded terry cloth
  5. Single coat, worked even. One coat; work the finish evenly into the surface. As it is worked in, the wax raises transparency and colour depth and lays down the open-pore protective film.

Working a single even coat of clear wax across a damask decorative wall, matt dry transitioning to satin wet-look richness
  6. Cure and clean up. Ensure normal room ventilation during application and drying; cure time varies by conditions. Clean tools immediately with white spirit or LEINOS 200 Thinner. Store cool, frost-free and sealed (shelf life at least 2 years).

System & Substrates

A two-layer system: the decorative design, then the clear protective wax.

Apply the LEINOS decorative design first — 660 Natural Resin Emulsion Paint, 630 Scumble Filler, 632 Effect Spatula or 601 Wall Wipe Glaze. Once it is fully cured, finish it with 350, applied sparingly, for wipe resistance, dirt repellence and deeper colour. Not over lime or silicate paints.

The Decorative System

Decorative design ground, then the clear protective finish.

Substrate Fit

350 works on — and what it doesn’t.

Suitable

Recommended substrates

  • LEINOS 660 Natural Resin Emulsion Paint designs — fully cured
  • LEINOS 630 Scumble Filler designs — fully cured
  • LEINOS 632 Effect Spatula designs — fully cured
  • LEINOS 601 Wall Wipe Glaze designs — fully cured
  • Chemically neutral, solid, dry, clean interior walls carrying a LEINOS resin / glaze / emulsion design

Honest Limits

Where to use a different product

  • Lime- or silicate-painted walls — their alkaline mineral chemistry needs no oil-wax topcoat. For that register use LEINOS 665 Lime Paint
  • Exterior surfaces — 350 is an interior decorative-wall finish only.
  • Raw or unpainted wood, cork and terracotta — 350 finishes painted decorative wall designs, not bare substrates.
  • Decorative designs that are not yet fully cured — let the 660 / 630 / 632 / 601 finish dry completely before waxing.

Use With Care

Working safely with 350

  • Keep away from children. Close the tin and store out of reach when not in use.
  • Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one — may cause allergic reactions in sensitised individuals (TDS-disclosed). Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • Solvent-borne finish — ensure normal room ventilation during application and drying; do not inhale mist or vapour.
  • Avoid release to the environment. Do not pour residues to drains, soil or watercourses.
  • Dispose per local regulations (EAK/EWC 08 01 11). Safety Data Sheet available on request from LEINOS India.

Full Declaration

Composition

Every ingredient declared on the label. The Trust Hub explains what each one does and the standards behind it.

  • Non-Yellowing Drying Oils (Nut + Safflower)

The film-forming oils — chosen over linseed because they cure clear and do not amber pale decorative tones. They carry the enrichment that deepens the colour and transparency of the finish below.

  • Natural Resin Ester (Rosin)

Pine-derived resin ester that cross-links the oil-wax matrix into a cohesive open-pore protective film bound to the decorative surface.

  • Micro Wax + Clay (Mineral Body)

Micro wax gives the dirt-repellent, wipe-resistant surface; a fine clay body carries it. Together they raise the wall’s wipe and light-abrasion resistance.

  • Preservative (Benzisothiazolinone)

Trace in-can preservative keeping the wet tin stable through shelf life. The TDS discloses 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one by name — it may cause allergic reactions in sensitised individuals. SDS available on request from LEINOS India.
